Firstly contact your current network provider, Tesco Mobile on 0845 600 4411 and request your PAC/Port Authorisation code.  Tesco Mobile will then either issue you it over the phone or send it in the post within 2 working days.  You will need to give this code to your new service provider in order to use your existing number with them.

The process takes approximately 7 working days.  Once this process is complete your existing SIM will no longer work and you will be given a new SIM card by your new service provider.

You cannot 'port' your number if you have chosen a new phone on your same network.  Your current service provider will provide you with an upgrade.

You cannot 'port' your number if you have not completed your minimum contract term with your existing supplier.  Check your existing terms and conditions with your current service provider to establish when you can change networks.
